Description<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Creative with textiles is a great way to learn how to create exciting textile art and develop your knowledge and skills. This will be an opportunity to explore the wonderful world of textile techniques. You will have the option of creating a journal on a theme of your choice, for example, it could be about your home \u2013 gardens \u2013 journeys \u2013 family.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This course is suitable for beginners and more advanced students.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This is a six-week course running for 2.5 hours a week. The next start date for this course will be Friday 6th February 9.30am – 12pm.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

What’s included in the price?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Each week there will be demonstrations on how to experiment with different techniques, for example, appliqu\u00e9 and layering techniques, machine embroidery, printing, dyeing and painting fabrics, hand stitch, beads and tassel making. Followed by step-by-step guidance to complete them. You will receive a short video and instructions every week in addition to the online tuition.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

If you enjoy experimenting with mixed media techniques including embroidery, collage, and montage, then this is a great opportunity to create a mixed media Journal based on memories. You will be using layering techniques, with images and text, papers, and fabrics, which will be fused together with wax. You will be able to embellish your work with fabrics, embroidery, buttons, ribbons, or lace to create a unique mixed media Journal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
